Le Loir dans la Théière

Eating this amazing lemon meringue pie was a very special and exciting moment! We where all fascinated by the variety of tarts there!
It was at Le Loir dans la Théière, a great place located in the heart of le Marais. It is perfect for a brunch, lunch time or for tea-time...
It is a very popular place, especially on weekends so be prepared to wait a little bit (reservations are not possible) or go there early!

Le Loir dans la Théière: 3, rue des Rosiers 75004 Paris.

Studio Berçot @ Centre Pompidou

From January to June, one Thursday night per month, the museum Centre Pompidou invites young artists from the best european Art Schools to come and present their work and their artistic world within the museum.

My school, the Studio Berçot (fashion design school) started it last Thursday...
13 different performances were happening in the 2 floors of the National Museum of Modern Art.
Through those little shows the 2Nd year students had the chance to present their great work done on basic cloth pattern.

I enjoyed this moment, walking around the museum to see the different performances, often linked to the surrounding art works. It was great to discover the student work in this atmosphere.
It was really crowded so I guess it has been a quite successful event for the Centre Pompidou!

Isadora Duncan @ Musée Bourdelle Paris

Yesterday morning I went to see the exhibition of Isadora Duncan at the Bourdelle Museum...

Isadora Duncan (1877-1927) was a famous dancer at the beginning of last century. Isadora was a very modern dancer for her time, with a very personal approach of her art.
Through the exhibition you discover more than 150 drawings of her dancing, from Antoine Bourdelle mostly but also of many other artists.

I had a great time, I recommend it!

Musée Bourdelle : 18, rue Antoine Bourdelle 75015 Paris - Metro: Montparnasse-Bienvenüe.

This is the book I am currently reading... Jean Paul Gaultier biography!
I had the chance to work for him when I was at the women's wear design studio of Hermès last year. He is fantastic, very nice and simple person and just a brilliant stylist, I learned so much by observing him working!
I am happy to learn more about him thanks to this book.

Soulages @ Centre Pompidou

Soulages, the 'painter of black' is still at the Centre Pompidou, the exhibit runs until the 8th of march, and you really must see it!

He makes lights effects by working on the black surface of his paintings. Black become very luminous.
I really loved this exhibition, great feelings and emotions. His work is amazing!
I also really enjoyed watching the documentary of Soulages explaining his life and his own work. Take the time to watch it, it is really worth it!

Monumenta by Christian Boltanski

Yesterday night I went to see the new exhibition at the Grand Palais : Monumenta seen by the famous french artist Christian Boltanski.

Very original experience, full of emotions. Very cold also!! as the artist didn't want any heating in the Grand Palais, to emphasize this cold and strange atmosphere of death and destiny. You walk around, with heart beating sounds, between blocks of clothes spread on the floor...

My favourite part of the exhibition, is the most spectacular part of it, this huge amount of clothes! I let you see!
