Elephant Ceramics

Amazing ceramics made by Michele Michael from Elephant Ceramics.
I love the fact that she incorporates the texture of traditional homespun linen into the clay, and the colors are just gorgeous!

Women are Heroes

Yesterday I went to see Women Are Heroes, a great documentary about the work of the french photographer JR.

The movie is about his travels in different countries, taking pictures of women, and pasting them at a huge scale in their village, to send a message full of hope and strengh.
It shows how powerful are the women in poor countries, and how their emancipation is necessary for their society.

I really recommend it, his work is just amazing, and the movie is really well done!

The Sartorialist. A visual life.

Nice documentary about our great street photographer The Sartorialist!
It nice to see how it is like behind the scene, and how he works.
I would love to do his job! Go for walks in big cities, take a few pictures, and then share it in my blog!

One day at the Studio Berçot!

Follow a part of my school life in this video from Be Magazine!
This is about my teacher and boss Michael. He works as a pattern maker for several young parisian designers like Alix Thomsen and he teaches at the Studio Berçot.

I am his assistant this year for his work out of school.
By this way I improve my skills in pattern making, which is a very good qualification to have when you are a fashion designer, so you can control the style of the clothe and the technics needed to make it.
My school is specialized in Fashion design only so I add pattern maker to my profil thanks to this job.

What you see is what I do when I work for him or for school projects.
From my drawing, I work with basic fabric on a Stockman to turn my drawing in 3 dimensions. After I transpose it into a paper pattern. From this point, I cut the final fabric following the pattern and I sew it! And at the end I have a real clothe ready to wear!
