American Apparel by Tony Kelly

I love this American Apparel's ads for their kids collection, made with two 8 year old talented break-dancers on the roof of a building in downtown L.A.
It has been shot by the renowned Irish fashion photographer Tony Kelly.

Inspiring wall painting

Fantastic wall painting made by Supakitch and Koralie in Sweden.
It is really exciting to see the whole process of painting. I would love to make a huge painting like this! It seems so stimulating!

Sophie the Giraffe

The worlds best baby teething toy; made in France ;-) was recently celebrating its 50th birthday!
We were invited to customize the famous giraffe, taking inspiration from chimeras.
Here is how I turn Sophie the giraffe into a nice elephant!
All hand made, with different types of leathers.

Le Diner en Blanc - Clandestine dining party!

Last Thursday night was a special day for some parisians...
The annual clandestine dining party "Le Diner en Blanc" happened!
All picnickers come all dressed entirely in white, with they chic picnic set including white tablecloth, candles, cutlery brought from home, good food and champagne.
The location is kept secret until the very last moment. Guests discover the location; always in one of the most beautiful places of Paris; more or less 30 minutes before.
Just a few hours to enjoy it at 00h30 AM everybody has to leave the place!
At 11h00 PM all the crowd light up the sparklers, such a crazy moment! People dance, such a great atmosphere!
Live bands play in the background to crowds of over 12,000 (this year, for the first time they split the crowd in 2, 6000 were in La Cour Carrée of Le Louvre, and 6000 in front of Notre-Dame).
Every year the place is different (2010: on La Place de la Concorde; 2009: on the Champs-Elysées...)

Masked ball !

This weekend we went to a fantastic wedding quite uncommon...!
The party was a masked ball! After the cocktail everyone got changed and put on his mask for the dinner and party...
I made our masks myself, all by hand, as the bride and groom requested me!
I used paint, feathers, paper cut, fabric and leather.
Have a look!

Amazing tilings

I went to the southwest of France for a great wedding last weekend. On our way back to Bordeaux, we passed by la dune du Pyla (the largest sand dune in Europe!) to take the sun by the seaside ;-).
We stopped by the nice and trendy restaurant la Corniche, with this amazing tilings.
I love it.
I also loved the view from the terrace, look at my picture (i took it, it is not a postal card ;-)

The Cloth House - London

I love this place! The Cloth House is a fantastic place for buying great fabrics, buttons etc. It is located in Soho, on Berwick street. It is a little bit expensive, but they have such a good range of products... They also have a second shop in the same street.
I love to come and spend time in this shop everytime I go to London. They have many products I don't find in Paris...

Tracey Emin @ Hayward Gallery - London

I went to see Tracey Emin's exhibition last weekend in London. It was really interesting and inspiring. It is really worth it to go. I particularly loved all her big patchworks, which is for me the best part of her artworks.

Few days in London!

I am back from London after a fantastic weekend! I feel I have been there for weeks!
Here are few pictures I took.

@ Southbank, the sun was shinning, kids were playing in the fountain, we had a fresh Pimm's sitting on the terrace at the top of the yellow stairs after seeing Tracey Emin exhibition.

@ the Tate Modern museum.

Funny girls making a video on the street, near Spitalfields Market.

Love those little houses I saw on a window, in Brick Lane.

Nice graffiti on the great building of Mother's advertising agency.

Hound Design

I recently discovered Hound Design, a label from Chicago.
I like those photos from Brian Guido & Julia Stotz. I also like those fluid and transparent tops, very simple shapes with sometimes geometrical cuts.
And obviously I still love this red poppy color, I really can't take it out of my head!!

I love those videos for the Louis Vuitton City Guides. Such a nice and different approach to talk about cities! It really makes you want to go for a little trip and discover again and again those places!
By the way I am off to London this weekend, I will share with you all the good things I see and fall in love with ;-)!

Brocante Rue de Bretagne

I went to the fantastic 'brocante' on Rue de Bretagne last weekend. And this time was even bigger than the last one. So many great furnitures, lots of vintage clothes, great atmosphere. I really love it! To me, it is one of the best flea market of Paris.
