Alexander McQueen

Hello! Désolée pour mon absence mais j'ai récemment commencé un stage chez Alexander McQueen à Londres, qui ne me laisse pas du tout le temps d'écrire sur mon blog... ;-(
Je ne peux malheureusement pas vous raconter toutes les choses incroyables que nous préparons pour la prochaine collection au bureau, mais je vais essayer d'écrire une fois par semaine pour vous partager mes expériences londoniennes et maintenir ce blog en vie! ;-)

Pour ceux comme moi qui n'ont pas eu la chance d'aller voir l'exposition d'Alexander McQueen au Met à New York, allez faire un tour sur le site de l'exposition, il y a plein de vidéos.
J'ai acheté le livre de l'exposition qui est vraiment bien.

Hello! I am sorry for my abcence, but I recently started an internship at Alexander McQueen in London, and I absolutely do not have time for writing on my blog... ;-( 

Unfortunately I can't tell you about the amazing things we are doing at work for the next collection at work, but I will try to write once a week about my life in London and keep this blog alive! ;-) 

For those like me who did not have the chance to see Alexander McQueen exhibition at the Met in New York, have a look to the website of the exhibition there are many very interesting videos. I bought the book of the exhibition, which is very nice.

Goudemalion @ Musée des Arts Décoratifs -Paris

La dernière exposition de Jean-Paul Goude au Musée des Arts Décoratifs vaut vraiment le détour. Elle est courte mais très riche, et propose une rétrospective très complète et créative de son travail bourré d'humour et d'un style très personnel. -- Jean-Paul Goude's last exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris is really worth going. The exhibition is quite short, but really intense, presenting a very complete and original retrospective of his work, full of humour and with a strong personal vision.

Brunch @ Bioboa - Paris

Ce weekend nous avons découvert le brunch de Bioboa, un beau restaurant où tout est beau, bio et vraiment très bon! Un vrai délice!

Robert Longo - Men in the city

À la fin de l'exposition Postmodernisme au V&A (Londres), il y a une œuvre de Robert Longo un artiste que j'aime beaucoup dont je vous avais déjà parlé ici. L'oeuvre exposée est issue de la série Men in the city réalisée en 1981. Voici en photos d'autres œuvres de cette série, tout est réalisé au fusain!!

At the end of the exhibition Postmodernism at the V&A (London), you can a piece of Robert Longo, a great artist i really like and that I already told you about here. The work exhibited comes from the series Men in the city, and was realised in 1981. Here are a few pictures of other works of this series, it is all made with charcoal!!

Zodiac t-shirts

J'ai trouvé cette vieille publicité de la marque de sous-vêtements Jil dans un vieux magazine des années 60. Une collection spéciale de t-shirts inspirée des signes du zodiaque, avec de jolis jeux de graphisme et de typographie et surtout des drôles de phrases comme "Balzac aimait les cacahuètes, moi aussi", "Je suis fort, mais j'aime les roses"...

I found this old add from the underwear label Jil in an old magazine from the 1960's. A special collection of t-shirts inspired from the zodiac signs, with nice graphic designs and typography, and also very funny sentences like "Balzac liked peanuts, so do I", "I am strong but I like roses".. 

Hand stitched illustrations by Emma Cowlam

J'ai découvert les magnifiques illustrations d'Emma Cowlam dans la boutique du musée Victoria & Albert à Londres.
Diplômée il y à 2 ans de la Chealsea Art School en textile design, Emma Cowlam réalise des illustrations uniques, cousues à la main, en s'inspirant de la mode Londonienne, de la rue, des magazines de modes ou encore des défilés.
Elle a réalisé une série d'illustrations en exclusivité pour le V&A, qui sont actuellement exposés et vendues dans le magasin principal du musée.

I discovered the amazing work of Emma Cowlam at the shop of the Victoria &Albert Museum. 

She graduated 2 years ago from the Chealsea Art School textile design. Each illustration is unique with inspiration coming from the London fashion scene, this could be a figure seen on the street, in a fashion magazine or on the catwalk. 

She made several illustrations in exclusivity for the V&A, they are currently exhibited and sold in the main shop of the museum. 

Postmodernism @ V&A London

Ce matin, étant de passage à Londres, je suis allée voir l'exposition 'Postmodernism, Style and Subversion 1970-1990' au Victoria & Albert Museum.
Exposition passionnante et très complète qui montre à quel point ce mouvement artistique a eu une énorme influence sur l'art, l'architecture, la mode, le design, la musique, vidéos etc.
J'ai adoré les images de Jean-Paul Goude de Grace Jones (dont la 1ère juste en dessous), j'ai hâte de voir sa prochaine exposition à Paris.

This morning, as I was in London, I went to see the exhibition 'Postmodernism, Style and Subversion 1970-1990' at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

This exhibition is fascinating and very complete, and shows to what extent this artistic movement had a huge influence in art, architecture, fashion, design, music, videos etc...

I love Jean-Paul Goude's pictures of Grace Jones (one just below), I can't wait to see his coming exhibition in Paris.

Famille Summerbelle @ The Collection

La fameuse boutique The Collection rue de Poitou dans le Marais invite Famille Summerbelle à présenter tous ces nouveaux produits pendant tous le mois de novembre.
Le vernissage avait lieu ce soir! Plein d'admirateurs de Famille Summerbelle sont venus au rendez-vous, tous enthousiastes devant les nouveaux plans découpés au laser produits en exclusivité pour l'évènement (qui sont juste magnifiques!), les nouveaux papiers peints, le nouveau plan de San Francisco etc!
Pour ceux qui n'ont pas pu venir, ça dure 1 mois, alors il est encore temps d'aller y faire un tour!

The famous shop The Collection in Rue de Poitou in le Marais in Paris invited Famille Summerbelle to present all their news products during the month of November. 

The opening show happened tonight, many fans of Famille Summerbelle came to the rendez-vous, all very excited in front of the new laser cut city maps produced exclusively for the event (that are just amazing!), the news wallpaper, the news San Francisco map print, etc! 

For those who could not come, it lasts for one month, so it is still time to come and stop by!
